LEPAS Sets 2026 Greece Launch, Bringing Elegant Mobility to Europe

LEPAS, the new premium NEV brand under China’s Chery Group, confirmed plans to enter the Greek market in 2026 during an exclusive virtual roundtable with the China-Greece Times and two leading Greek media outlets on Thursday.

Led by LEPAS representative Calvin Li, alongside LEO Li and IVAN Li, the interview outlined the brand’s European strategy, its “elegant mobility” positioning, and why Greece is a key launch market.

Calvin Li acknowledged that building brand trust is LEPAS’s biggest European challenge, noting European consumers’ loyalty to established brands. But he emphasized Chery’s 28-year technological heritage — including 23 consecutive years as China’s top passenger car exporter and a 2025 Fortune Global 500 ranking — as a foundation for success.

Li called Greece a “strategic and spiritual choice,” citing its electrification shift, growing acceptance of Chinese brands, and cultural ties with China. “Our core value of ‘equal exploration’ aligns with Greek civilization’s celebration of beauty and wisdom,” he said, adding LEPAS offers a “ticket to technology equity” for accessible elegant mobility.

Calvin Li noted 2026 is ideal for entry, with Greece’s NEV market maturing amid global energy demand for cleaner solutions, supported by LEPAS’s LEX New Energy Platform. To stand out, the brand will avoid price wars, focus on “technological equity,” and launch an “Elegant Lifestyle Alliance” with local partners.

IVAN Li announced the L8 — a C-segment PHEV SUV with over 1,300 km range and 2,800 mm wheelbase — will launch in Greece in June 2026. Pricing, to be revealed later, will align with the brand’s mission of accessible elegance.

LEO Li shared LEPAS is in advanced talks with Greek dealer groups, prioritizing “quality over quantity” for its sales network. Calvin Li added winning trust will involve test drives, cultural integration, and local partnerships.

LEO Li expressed optimism about Greece’s NEV market over 3–5 years, citing cultural alignment. Calvin Li framed LEPAS’s entry as a boost to China-Greece ties, calling the brand a “bridge” between the two civilizations.
